Title: IT Support Technician
Type: Contract
Target start date: ASAP
Duration: 9 months to a year (can be extended)
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:14 to 4:30 / 37.5 hr/week
Location : 5559, Dundas Street West, Etobicoke, M9B 1B9
Description:
- Imaging computers, network switches, computer set up, configuration of various hardware POS equipment (scales, printers, registers, Self Checkouts, etc),
- Level 2 support for Store Help Desk calls which could be on a rotational basis including weekend support (likely 1 every 4 weeks), remote support, IP telephony, paging systems
- Travel to new and renovating stores to set up all IT equipment working closely with project managers, external vendors, as well as internal support teams
- Work with blueprints to determine Moves/Adds/Changes and completion of work necessary. Project related work as necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year experience in providing onsite and remote support (Mobi/Soti)
- Sound technical knowledge including networking
- Knowledge of Meraki is an asset
- Nice to have knowledge of Service Now ticketing system
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- Travel between stores using personal vehicle. Individual must have a car as there will be some travel (30% travel) within the GTA area between the office and the retail stores. Mileage will be paid @ $0.48 per km.
- Customer Service skills and sound troubleshooting skills, can “think outside the box”
- Must meet critical dates, ability to prioritize, good time management, organizational skills
- Nice to have POS experience
- Nice to have work experience in retail environment.
- Must be quick learner, highly motivated and detail oriented.
