Job Title: IMAC & IT Asset Management Specialist
Job Type: 3- month contract (possibility of extension)
Location: Calgary, AB (100% Onsite – 144 4 Ave SW)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hours per week: 40 hours
Overtime: Occasional evening/weekend work required (paid or time off in lieu)

Rates: $25/hr T4 OR $30/hr Inc.

About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on IMAC & IT Asset Management Specialist to support end-user computing and device lifecycle operations within their Calgary office. This role combines technical deployment work with asset and inventory ownership, requiring a strong onsite presence and high attention to detail.  You’ll play a critical role in ensuring seamless device deployments, accurate asset tracking, and a high-quality end-user experience across a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) for end-user devices
  • Stage, image, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals using SCCM and Intune
  • Execute PC refresh cycles, swaps, and break/fix replacements
  • Support onboarding (new hires) and offboarding (device recovery and decommissioning)
  • Provide onsite, white-glove user support during deployments and transitions
  • Manage full asset lifecycle: receive ? tag ? deploy ? recover ? retire
  • Maintain accurate asset records in Freshservice or equivalent asset management systems
  • Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Oversee stockroom inventory, including spare device allocation
  • Coordinate shipping, RMAs, and vendor returns
  • Ensure proper chain-of-custody and secure handling of all IT equipment
  • Follow standardized IMAC and asset management processes
  • Document all work, asset updates, and audit activities
  • Ensure compliance with security, data handling, and disposal policies
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Desktop Support, and vendors to meet SLAs
  • Contribute to process improvements and reporting initiatives (Power BI exposure is an asset)

Tools & Environment
  • Endpoint Management: SCCM, Intune
  • ITSM / Asset Management: Freshservice (or similar)
  • Reporting: Power BI

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2–5+ years of IMAC or desktop support experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
  • Experience in Windows 10/11 environments
  • Imaging and provisioning using SCCM and/or Intune
  • Experience supporting user data migration and device refresh programs
  • Experience with ITSM tools (Freshservice preferred)
  • Proven asset lifecycle and inventory management experience
  • Strong understanding of stockroom operations and logistics coordination
  • Knowledge of secure device handling and disposal practices
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Environment & Scope
  • Support approximately 800 users and devices in Calgary, and 2,400 enterprise-wide
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict asset tracking requirements

Additional Information
  • This role is 100% onsite and not suitable for remote candidates
  • May require after-hours or weekend deployment support
  • Occasional travel to nearby sites (Olds or South Calgary) is a plus, but not required
