Overview
Our client is hiring a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and execution of multi-cloud infrastructure programs across AWS and Azure. Reporting to the Director of CloudOps, the Senior Cloud Architect will be the senior technical voice on the team, owning architecture for high-impact 2026 initiatives including Terraform-driven environment segregation, an organization-wide automated patching program, and a major Amazon Linux end-of-life remediation. This is a hands-on role requiring both architectural leadership and execution.

What You Will Do
  • Design and lead Terraform / OpenTofu work to refactor AWS and Azure resources into properly segregated environments with clear network and security boundaries.
  • Architect and roll out an automated Patch Manager program across AWS and Azure, including vulnerability remediation.
  • Lead Amazon Linux end-of-life remediation across the cloud estate, including planning and execution.
  • Design site-to-site VPN connectivity and networking integrations between corporate and cloud environments.
  • Set technical standards across cloud security, networking, CDN, scalability, reliability, and incident management.
  • Own unscoped or discovery-phase work, define technical direction, and drive execution to completion.
  • Mentor and uplift the CloudOps engineering team through hands-on collaboration.

Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of proven experience designing and implementing multi-cloud architecture across AWS and Azure.
  • Hands-on production experience with Terraform or OpenTofu for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Senior-level architectural capability to independently break down ambiguous requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, CDN, scalability, reliability, and incident management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical designs to engineering leadership.

Nice to Have
  • Enterprise-scale site-to-site VPN and network design experience.
  • Patch management experience using tools such as AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager or Azure Update Manager.
  • Amazon Linux 2 end-of-life migration or Linux LTS remediation experience.
  • Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience.
