Title: Deskside Support Technician
Target start date:ASAP 
Duration: 1 year or longer (can be converted into permanent position)
Address: Schedule is 3 days a week in Kitchener, 2 days in Cambridge and 1 day every other week to Scarborough.  The candidate will be paid $0.48 per km for mileage for Scarborough location
Kitchener:1665, Highland Road West, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, N2N 3K5
Cambridge: 47, Heroux Devtek Drive, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, N3H 4R6
Scarborough: 1480, Birchmount Road, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, M1P 2E3
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM

Suitable candidate MUST be a resident or Citizen for at least 5 years
Ideal candidate should be willing to get Control Goods Clearance (company will  cover the cost)


Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting desktop and laptop
  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC equipment.
  • Troubleshooting problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Provide end-user assistance where required.
  • Image Workstation for new deployments using SCCM.
  • Manage and track inventory via Service Now
  • Managing phone system, printers, mobiles and other equipment
  • Manage 365 licensing.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
 Mandatory Technical Skills

  • 2-3 years of hardware, software (Windows 7/10), & end user support experience
  • Have basic internet working & troubleshooting skills
  • Sound knowledge of Office 365 
  • Hands on experience in antivirus
  • Experience in Ticket Management system preferably Service Now
  • Knowledge of networking principles
  • Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
  • Working towards or have A+ certification
  • Must be a self-starter and can manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
  • Available to work flexible work schedule
