Can work from home, but will do training at the branch for a few weeks, and on occasion be present at the office

Hours/Week: 40
Salary Range: $54,000.00 - $58,000.00
Commission: 8 % on growth and 2% on account management
Car allowance: $7,200 annually paid bi-weekly
Travel: Advise more than 50%
Vacation: 3 weeks

Safety Express Ltd., an Aramsco Company, has been serving its clients in the Abatement, Restoration, Industrial Safety and Surface Preparation market for over 35 years. 
Job Objective:
The Outside Sales Representative would be responsible for sales activities, from lead generation to close of sales for assigned market, cultivating new and building upon existing relationships.  Responsibilities would also including order generation, upselling, and negotiating customers on every opportunity; while work collaboratively with team members, both in the branch and across Canada for the team’s achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term company goals. In addition, the successful candidate will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Demonstrate consultative selling skills and previous industry and product knowledge in all areas of the business, abatement, restoration, general safety, thermal imaging, etc. (Or proactive ability to learn industry and expand product knowledge to keep up with industry trends)
  • Develop annual & monthly sales plan for assigned market and work with branch team to achieve plan
  • Develop strategies, action plans and proposals to engage new and existing customers in assigned markets, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing profit, monitor and follow up on any changes to customer buying patterns
  • Responsible for servicing all orders for existing and new customers, including determining customer needs, upselling every opportunity, advising of monthly promotions and ensuring product is located from alternative sources to achieve the sale
  • Review open orders and back orders daily, following up with team members as appropriate
  • Daily logging of visits, calls, email of customer interactions in Sales-i application meeting minimum requirements
  • Travel within assigned territory is required
  • Participate in weekly prospecting for new accounts and overcome objections
  • Weekly pre-panning using CRM application
  • Ensure timely follow-up of leads, quotes, RFP’s, customer communication
  • Communicative regularly and effectively with branch team to ensure customer needs are known and met
  • Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales and margin targets
  • Ensure ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and market trends
  • Work collaborative with Branch Managers to ensure after hours customer support plan/schedule
  • Participate as a team member in all areas of the operation, sharing best practices and any branch specific successes with other branches and sales reps
  • Participate in local industry events and tradeshows
  • Physical requirements include: Walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing ladders, lifting 50 pounds, visual acuity to read bar code labels and location labels
  • Be available 24/7 for your customers and participate in the after hours customer support plan/schedule and open/close responsibilities with all branch team members
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities to Buyer for investigation
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and company code of ethic
  • Align with RSM on personal development plan and execution
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist with other projects/duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education required or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5  years sales experience
  • Self-starter with proven track record for growing sales and customer base and hitting established sales targets
  • Knowledge of the abatement, restoration, construction or general safety industries a definite asset
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software
  • Team player, proactive communicator
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Bilingual in English and French considered an asset
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
