Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Administrator to support the stability, security, and performance of enterprise network, server, and cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing both on-premises and cloud environments, providing advanced (L3) support, and ensuring seamless operations across corporate and field systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and enhance network, server, and cloud infrastructure environments
- Administer and support VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft Azure (hybrid environments)
- Manage enterprise storage solutions, including Dell/EMC SAN technologies
- Configure, support, and optimize firewalls, WAN, and wireless networks
- Provide Level 3 support for infrastructure, applications, and field systems
- Oversee and maintain backup systems (e.g., Networker, Backup Exec, EVault)
- Support Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online environments
- Monitor system performance, logs, backups, and security tools
- Ensure strong security posture, including perimeter protection and threat monitoring
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on infrastructure projects
- Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to after-hours incidents as required
Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE or modern Azure certifications)
- VMware (VCP)
- Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
- 10+ years of experience in network and systems administration
- 10+ years working with:
- Windows Server environments
- Exchange / Exchange Online
- IP networking and virtualization platforms
- Strong expertise in:
- VMware administration
- Citrix environment management
- Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Dell/EMC storage solutions
- Firewall configuration and support
- Enterprise backup solutions
- Experience supporting enterprise WAN, wireless, and field connectivity
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, monitoring, and best practices
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
Certifications (Preferred)
- Security certifications (Security+, CCSP, or equivalent)
