Job Type: 1-year contract
Location: Barrie, ON
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Rates: $40/hr Inc. or $36/hr T4
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and prepare in-depth financial analysis’ on actuals to ensure that costs are being captured correctly and contractual obligations are met
- Code and process invoices to ensure that costs are captured accordingly
- Analyze and report on business and project financials including insightful commentary and cost saving recommendations
- Perform regular analysis to identify trends that support decision making and the resolution of issues
- Assist in financial deep dives to provide clear analysis and insights to drive cost saving initiatives and improved business performance
- Recommend and implement financial process improvement initiatives, identifying areas of overlap and efficiency gains
- Develop, implement and maintain effective tools and processes for facilitating decision making linked to key operational drivers and financial metrics
Qualifications
- A university degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or currently working towards a professional designation in accounting, (CPA, CMA, CA, CGA).
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, and synthesizing data large volumes of data
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to identify issues and gaps and possess strong problem solving abilities
- Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and energy
- Highly organized, results driven, and detail oriented
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with SAP is considered an asset
- Knowledge of public safety radio networks is also considered an asset
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
