Job Title: Installation Technician
Job Type: 3-month contract (possibility of extension or permanent offer at the end of the initial contract)
Location: Vancouver 
Starts: May 15th, 2023

Ends: 3 months later
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr 
Hours per week: 32 hours per week
Shifts/Schedules: Rotating shifts, 7AM to 4PM, 8AM to 5PM, 3:30PM to 11:45PM, and 8:00PM to 2:00AM (weekdays and 1 weekend per month).  **Shifts are rotated every 3 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first line of response to customers on-site in your assigned territory, finding the right solution with each customer.
  • Connect with customers to address questions and complete specified installation scope on-site (some uncommon)
  • Install electromechanical equipment like ATMs and self-checkout systems within an assigned territory—with the goal of keeping customers completely assured and satisfied.
  • Organize, & triage customer issues
  • Provide customers what they need when they need it. 
  • Take preventative measures, escalate issues, and serve as an ambassador
  • Keep customers completely assured and satisfied through your technical expertise and consistent and constant communication.
  • Capture customer information to complete any invoicing
  • Build great working relationships among colleagues and customers based on customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Respond to issues as they arise by either handling them, or by pulling in the proper associate, team member, or territory manager
  • Use manual skills on products like peripherals, large system printers, small and enterprise level servers, communications equipment, networks, and item processing sorters.
  • Perform hardware maintenance, installation, network management, multi-vendor maintenance, and software support.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A+ Certification
  • Up to three years of related experience  
  • Knowledge of systems architecture, database management systems, and network and systems management systems. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and current Windows operating systems. 
  • Must have basic electronic skills, and some specific hardware and operating system familiarity. 
  • Essential functions of this position include prolonged travel with driving several hours per day, rotating and weekend shifts, carrying and lifting tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance, bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, working with your hands, and repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have valid passport to travel to the US for training. 
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident – company sponsorship is not available 
  • Must have a valid Canadian applicable provincial driver's license (not a learner permit) and clean driving record
