Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
Bonus Potential: $10,000.00  ($7,500 based on Eastern Manufacturing & $2,500 Company EBITDA)

OBJECTIVE
The Manufacturing Manager is tasked with coordinating and optimizing production processes to meet business objectives. This involves devising strategies to enhance productivity, ensure product quality, and address any production challenges. Additionally, the Manufacturing Manager oversees the entire product lifecycle, from gathering customer requirements to collaborating with research and development teams and vendors to successfully introduce new products to the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Strategy:
  • Lead the development and direction of manufacturing initiatives for all company products.
  • Manage long-term strategic plans and implement production systems.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align manufacturing goals with overall business objectives.
Process Improvement and Performance Management:
  • Develop systems to evaluate, score, and implement manufacturing process improvements, including SOPs.
  • Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve operational performance.
  • Integrate tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to support new product development and continuous improvement
Operational Efficiency and Time Management:
  • Determine optimum manufacturing processes and raw material usage.
  • Improve production standards through continued practices of annual time studies and data development methods.
  • Manage timecard and attendance systems to track employee hours and ensure workforce efficiency.
People Management and Collaboration:
  • Manage manufacturing employees, including line workers and temporary staff.
  • Implement performance management processes to assess and develop employee performance.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, to drive alignment and achieve business objectives.
Financial Analysis and Compliance:
  • Provide cost analysis to senior management and set product costing through the BOM process.
  • Ensure products are manufactured profitably and comply with local, national, and international standards and legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University or college degree in production management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of direct work experience with production systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.
  • Strong inventory and production management skills.
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
  • Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing are desirable.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multitasking and working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other manufacturing-based ERP.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Extended periods of standing or walking during plant inspections and production supervision.
  • Lifting and carrying heavy objects during equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Sitting for prolonged periods at a desk for computerized work, including data analysis and report generation.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery and using a computer.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels from machinery, requiring hearing protection.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and ventilation conditions.
  • Fast-paced work environment with frequent changes in production schedules.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols and PPE use.
  • Travel may be required for industry conferences or meetings with suppliers/customers.
