Job Title: PC Technical Support Associate
Type: 6-month Contract
Location: 1940 Argentina Road, Mississauga, ON, L5N
Target Start Date: January 9th 2023
End Date: 6 months after start date
Shift- Days/Hours: Support is from Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Likely shifts from 8 to 4:30 and then another from 9:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Work hours/Week: 40 (30 min lunch)
Pay rate: $27.00/hour
Responsibilities:
Provide first level support for diverse technical issues, such as troubleshoot and support existing hardware and software: desktops/laptops/tablets. Troubleshoot and support hardware peripherals: network printers, scanners, tablets, etc.
Support local and remote user base. Configure and install workstations/laptops and peripherals for new associates. Resolve assigned Helpdesk tickets within pre-determined SLA
Document steps to resolution. Act independently to resolve support calls and achieve a high percentage of incident resolution without escalation
Assist on projects that require Client Services and work with L2 in roll-out of new technologies and applications for the company
Advise and educate customers on procedural guidelines to ensure a complete solution to their technical or service questions Identify unique or recurring customer/technical problems
Provide input to management to prevent recurrence control and documentation of assets issued/received. Maintain and keep up to date all Service Now tickets assigned within a timely fashion.
Coordinate and work closely with Technical Coordinators in roll out of new technologies and applications for the company
Participate as a resource on department/corporate IT projects and communicate with team leads as required.
Qualifications:
CompTIA A+ required
Microsoft Certified Professional Designation preferred
Minimum 2 + year technical workstation/laptop support experience
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and MAC OS operating systems
Working knowledge of personal/MAC computers and troubleshooting techniques for software/hardware and network infrastructure
Ability to build and configure personal/MAC computers.
Knowledge of imaging systems (such as SCCM), anti-virus systems, Outlook/Exchange, VPN and wireless
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment
Strong desire to contribute to process improvement
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical abilities, ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and good technical documentation writing skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Someone who takes initiative and is a self-starter Bilingual in English and French an asset
Dell certification an asset
Knowledge of Apple/Macintosh systems a valuable asset
