Job Title: Senior Kubernetes Engineer (with Python)
Job Type: 6-month contract with a possibility of extension
Location: 100% remote-based; candidates must be willing to work 8 AM to 5 PM EST

End Date: 6 months after start date
Rates: $50/hr
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Summary:
Our client is looking to add a Senior Kubernetes Engineer to their team to engage with multiple development teams and stakeholders to define and deliver new capabilities. This resource will be at the forefront of shaping financial technology and tackling some of the most challenging issues in global markets.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable Python applications within a Kubernetes environment.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, similar degree, or relevant direct job experience
- Advanced-level experience with Kubernetes
- Must have at least 3 to 5 years of Python programming experience
- Specialist in container orchestration
- Must have experience with an Azure cloud environment
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing and optimizing scalable, secure and reliable Python applications within a Kubernetes environment
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining platform features for on-premise, hybrid and cloud-native setups
- Must be able to collaborate with engineering team members to enhance their Kubernetes infrastructure, focusing on automation, scalability and developer experience
- Must be familiar with and stay on top of industry trends in cloud computing, containerization and orchestration, and best practices
