Job Title: Level 4 Technician
Location1 Commerce Valley Dr E, Markham, ON Canada, L3T7X6
Start Date: ASAP (Can start as early as next week)
Term: 1 Month
End Date: November 30th, 2023- Possibility of extension through February 30th, 2024 
Security Requirements: Tech will receive Badges from AMD
Hours/Week: 40
Hours of Work; Mon to Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm

   Job Description: 

  • Perform IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) services on hardware, routers, firewalls, switches, access points, & servers
  • Provide break-fix services
  • Perform LAN & internetworking related activities
  • Handle bench repairs & remedial maintenance
  • Deal with 3rd party IT vendors as required
  • Work in a Team Lead capacity as required 
  • Unpacking systems following shipment/delivery
  • Documenting asset serial numbers and key information
  • Performing visual equipment checks and scheduled data center walkthrough
  • Plugging in a console port for remote management
  • Physically relocating (i.e. moving) an asset within the same data center
  • Cabling assets (power, network, ILO, etc.)
  • Performing media loading and handling per Customer instructions and Customer provided shipping materials
  • Reviewing and/or relaying of system or console messages
  • Performing visual inspection of devices to assess equipment status
  • Performing visual inspection of a rack Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
  • Report any malfunctioning or non-working equipment or other defective conditions at the Premises including the following: flickering or non-working lights; inoperative or malfunctioning
  • Inform Customer of any sub-quality work practices or health and safety issues
  • Install, Move, Add, Change, and De-install (IMACD)

     Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • 5+ years of hardware, software (Windows 7/10), end user support experience
  • Have advanced internetworking & troubleshooting skills
  • Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
  • Have A+ certification & other IT industry certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or other OEMS (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP, etc.)
  • Must be a self-starter and can manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
