Job Title: Desktop Technician
Type: Contract- 1 year (possibility of extension)
Location: Suite 1100 – 745 Thurlow Street, Vancouve,V6E 0C5
Start date: Soon as possible
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM/ 8 AM to 4 PM
Job Descriptions:
Responsibilities:

Perform IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) services on hardware for desktops, laptops, tablets, flat panel monitors, printers, routers, firewalls, switches, & access points

Perform desktop and COTS (custom-off-the-shelf-software) installation/upgrades including staging & imaging

Provide break-fix services
-
Perform deskside Support troubleshooting & remediating hardware, software, & network related issues for end users

Provide help desk Support troubleshooting & remediating hardware, software, & network related issues for end users for end users
-
Perform LAN & internet working related activities
-
Handle bench repairs & remedial maintenance

Deal with 3rd party IT vendors as required

Manage IT asset inventory as required
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
-
2-3 years of hardware, software (Windows 7/10), & end user support experience

Have basic internet working & troubleshooting skills
-
Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program

Working towards or have A+ certification
-
Must be a self-starter and can manage multiple tasks concurrently

Good customer service skills

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
