Job Title: Technical Project Manager (PMP)
Location: Toronto, ON

Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented technical IT Project Manager for the Global IT implementation and demise of messaging (email) systems that also includes application migration and demise. This role requires an individual who possesses a very strong balance between IT Technical skills and PM/Leadership skills.


The successful candidate will possess experience working as a PM in IT Global products with strong infrastructure background and experience in Project Managing the installation and upgrade of Enterprise level Storage and Servers. Platforms include: IBM (AIX) and IBM Storage solutions. Oracle & SAP.

 

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

 

-University Degree in Computer Science; PMP designation would be an asset
-A minimum of 10 years IT Industry experience with at least 5 years of experience in a technical IT Project Management role
-Experienced with full IT life cycle implementations in a global enterprise environment combined with experience in delivering complex, large-scale vendor application solutions.
-Excellent time management, problem-solving, negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills.
-Possess solid communication, facilitation, presentation, and leadership skills.

-Described as creative, self-directed, innovative, results and detail oriented.
-Experience working with Global teams;
Must have global experience and be willing to schedule meetings in evening and daytime hours & Weekends for outage windows

-Must have experience working with vendors as their teams (SAP and IBM) will be performing the hands on work
-Adept at interacting with different levels (from analysts to senior management) in the organization as well as with different audiences.

-Ability to work with the business to get consensus and close on items and issues.
