Title: Field Service Technician
Type: 3-month Contract
Location: 2536 Dougall Ave Windsor, ON N8X 1T6
Start: December 4th, 2023
Ends: February 29th, 2024 - could be extended
Pay Rate: $24.00
Shift Schedule:
Week1 Mon - Fri 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Week 2 Mon – Fri 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Week 3 Mon – Fri 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Week 4 Sat – Sun 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM + 3 days in the week same time
Week 5 Sat – Sun 2:00 to 11:00 + 3 days in the week same time (schedule repeats after this)
Responsibilities:
Installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment
perform work on products like ATMs, POS systems, kiosks, single pocket proof encoders, and workstations.
Site preparation, including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment
Qualifications:
Asset would be some knowledge in networking and POS
Have at 1 – 2 years of field service experience doing hardware rollouts, refreshes, and other deployment related activities
Have at 1 – 2 years of desk side support experience
Have strong internet working and troubleshooting skills
Previous networking or POS experience preferred
Have A+ certification
May have other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft and/or from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP)
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
Exceptional customer service skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
Networking, Mechanical and ATM experience will be an asset
Standard tools- for example
POS and/or Self Checkout equipment experience is mandatory
Technicians will be assigned to Break Fix and PMs calls
