Job Title: Desktop Technician

Location: 133 Montee de Liesse, Montreal, Quebec, H3X 4B2

Duration:  4 week, chance of extension for 4 weeks at end of each month

Start Date: ASAP

Days/Hours: Monday to Friday/ 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour 

Job Descriptions:

Skill Level:       Level 1 Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Perform IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) services on hardware on desktops, laptops, tablets, flat panel monitors, printers, point of sale (POS) + peripherals, routers, firewalls, switches, & access points
  • Perform desktop and COTS (custom-off-the-shelf-software) installation/upgrades including staging & imaging
  • Provide break-fix services
  • Perform 1st level deskside Support troubleshooting & remediating hardware, software, & network related issues for end users
  • Provide 1st level help desk Support troubleshooting & remediating hardware, software, & network related issues for end users for end users
  • Perform LAN & internetworking related activities
  • Handle bench repairs & remedial maintenance
  • Deal with 3rd party IT vendors as required
  • Manage IT asset inventory as required

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • 0-1 years of hardware, software (Windows 7/10), & end user support experience
  • Have basic internetworking & troubleshooting skills
  • Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
  • Working towards or have A+ certification
  • Must be a self-starter and can manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
  • Available to work flexible work schedules
